Guar Gum
Explanation
Guar gum is extracted from guar beans that are principally grown in India, Pakistan, U.S, Australia and Africa. The gum has thickening and stabilizing properties useful in the food, feed and industrial applications. The guar seeds are mechanically dehusked, hydrated, milled and screened according to application.
The main components of the gum are mannose and galactose. The gum dissolves in cold water and becomes a high viscous liquid.
