Carrageenan
Explanation
Carrageenan is a family of linear sulfated polysaccharide that is extracted from red edible seaweeds in the clean areas of seawater.
The raw material has many different kinds of red seaweeds and it shows different compositions depending on the harvesting places, kind of seaweeds and time, consequently it shows different features of characteristics. Carrageenan is white powder having no tastes or odors.
It completely dissolves in water above 70°C. The carrageenan solution becomes viscous liquid or forms gels at room temperature.

jellies, meat, dairy, medicines, cosmetics etc.
